FAQs

We have compiled the answers to the most common question we get.

If you can’t find the answer to your question, please contact us at membership@ldk.lu.se

I have been offered a place at Lund University, can I become a member and access the benefits?

If you already have a  university account, identify yourself in the “Sign in via Lund University” section on this website.

If you are a new student and are still not registered on the system you must send any other official documents from the university e.g. employment contract or signed letter from the relevant person in your department. You can upload this in the “Certificate of Registration” on this website.

Why haven’t I received my student card in the mail?

We no longer automatically send out physical student cards unless expressly requested by a member. To access your student card, download the Studentkortet (STUK) app and use your digital card. This functions in the same way and entitles you to the same discounts. Also note that Travel logos will ONLY appear on the digital card.

Should you need a physical card send to you, ensure that the address registered to your account is correct. Please contact us at tr@ldk.lu.se should you have any problem.

What membership possibilities do I have?

We have two main membership options at LDK:

  • LDK only (150kr/semester) – which gives you full access to student discounts and travel discounts, however, you cannot take part in nation activities in Lund or join the AFB housing queue.

  • LDK and StudentLund (370kr/semester) – which gives you full access to student discounts and travel discounts, plus taking part in activities and events at the student nations in Lund. Membership to StudentLund is also required in order to join the AFB housing queue.

How can I change my membership situation? Can I join/leave a Nation once I have been a member?

You are entitled to change your membership option at the begging of each semester. If you decide to change your membership, and before you pay the renewal for your semester membership, send us an email to membership@ldk.lu.se selecting one of the membership possibilities. (LDK or LDK+StudentLund). Remember to indicate your personal number.

Where do I get my student card?
